How's tricks? Had my last day on the WCCC today, can't believe it's been 5 years since I started! Anyhoos, I start in purchasing on Monday, so it'll be a change and make things a bit more of a routine for me I guess :)

Your gallery is great - Avebury seems really beautiful. I'll have to go there sometime :)

Avebury is great. In ways, much more impressive than Stonehenge. The size of the stone circle itself makes Stonehenge look like a postage stamp.
Last time I went, you could just see a crop circle in a neighbouring field (which was nice).
Venus being in the sky was a complete fluke. I had to use a piece of astronomy software to find out what it was.
There are other sites in the local area too. West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury hill and several white horses cut into the chalk hills.

Thanks :) (You're so helpful & informative!) I've heard about the horses on the chalk hills (read about them when I was younger) so that'd be really interesting.
